blessings upon blessings
These are definitely wonderful days to see God's hand at work in our church. Attendance isn't everything. But, when attendance is good, it is a reflection of the number of people being impacted in our church. This morning there were 33 in attendance, plus 4 out of town visitors - so, 37 in total. We hope to see some people out tonight who were not at church this morning.
As the church congregation grows, please pray that we won't forget about one person whom God wants us to reach. We have begun a children's church and are seeking to organise our ladies' who are members into a rotation of helpers. Please pray for God's help in structuring our church so that we can sustain the growth He is giving to us.
Please also pray for our believers who are young in the faith. They need to become grounded in God's Word and become a faithful part of the family of God. Please pray that God will protect them in their vulnerability.
We have some contacts who are still struggling to get to church though they have indicated a desire to come. They are communicative and intend to come. We are still praying that they will have the courage to do so. For some reason, coming for the first time can be quite a hurdle to overcome.
I preached this morning from Daniel 12:1-3, The Time Is At Hand. (A time of reckoning, of great trouble, of deliverance, of resurrection, and of reward. Please pray for our church to live in light of eternity and the soon appearance of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Street preaching went well this week. It was a ministry milestone as it was the 100th street preaching video. 4 in my family were involved and two others from our church. These two came to our church a month ago through the street preaching. It's wonderful to have their help in that evangelistic outreach.
Next Sunday, we beging evangelistic meetings with Barry and Cheryl Webb. Please pray for these 4 days of meetings. (Mon-Wed as well.)
Thank you for praying. May God be pleased to continuing working in answer to your prayers. His hand is very evident.
