Great Day and Grand Baby
God blessed us with a wonderful Lord's day. But, before I get to that... our daughter and son-in-law are now the proud parents of a little boy, Hudson Mark Riley Owenby - weighing in at 6 pounds and 12 ounces and measuring 19 inches. He arrived on Tuesday afternoon, EST. Both mum and baby (and father) are doing well. (Photo below of the baby.) Please continue to pray for our daughter-in-law, Christina, as she is due this coming Saturday.
This week has been a week of discipleship. There were three opportunities to personally sit down and get into God's Word. Please pray for eternal fruit from these sessions.
We also did street evangelism, and personal evangelism. The Ladies' Retreat (first one) went very well. Katie did not organise it, but she was able to do one of the sessions and help with some games as well. Praise the Lord for the success of this event! Please pray that God would use it annually as a blessing to the Christian ladies in our churches.
We had wonderful attendance this morning. We are seeing God do some great things. The car park is filling up and the congregation is growing. Praise the Lord! Next Sunday we are having a baptismal service and a fellowship meal. We hope to see some visitors in attendance.
I preached this morning on, "Anchored Upon God." Psalm 93 is a great Psalm to help us grab hold of our ROCK in the storms of life. We enjoyed our time in God's Word and there was a great spirit afterwards. Most people stayed around for some fellowship following the service. Thank you for praying as God's hand is very evident just now.
