Showers of blessing!
Well - it's a good day at church when you have 8 children attend Sunday School/ Church for their first time. That's the kind of morning the Lord gave to us. It was a blessing to have a long term friend of our's attend church with his 4 children. God is really doing a great work in their family and we are very excited about God's goodness.
We also had 4 other children come for their first time on their own. (3 of these 4 came to our Holiday Bible Club, but had not yet been to church.) We have recently restructured our kid's programs to include Children's church. Please pray for God's good work in the hearts of these kids and that they would love church. They all had a good time today. It was also a joy to have a couple visit from the States, whom we had met during our deputation years.
This morning, we looked Jeremiah 10, "Close to God or Not." It was a message on getting close to God and enjoying His blessings. Please pray for our church family to remember God and His great goodness to those who walk with Him. (Idols like to creep into our life and dethrone our LORD.)
The new couple in our church joined us on the street evangelism this week. They first came two weeks ago after hearing the street preaching. God's hand is evident. We know you are praying and appreciate it very much. To God be the glory for what He is doing at SFBC.
