Thank you for praying for Laura's mom. She is doing very well. It's a remarkable difference from Monday night.

While we were at the hospital we also visited a man from our community. Please pray for his health. I've been witnessing to him for a couple of years. 

Tonight is our second lesson on the book of Revelation. We finished our parenting teens class and are stepping out into a new venture. We enjoyed our start last week and trust this will be a good study for our Thursday evening adult/teen Bible study.The children in Katie's class are looking at Missionary John Patton this evening.

This morning I enjoyed praying with Pastor Keith Mills and Satith,a man from his church. I've begun monthly revival prayer times for pastor's in our area who are able to attend. Satith and I went into Edinburgh afterwards to do some evangelism. We had several good opportunities to share the Gospel. The best was with Edward who has recently lost his eyesight. He has had both retinas recently re-attached. Please pray for his spiritual and physical eyesight. The Lord gave us a break in the rain from 11-2 which was just what we needed. We got soaked getting back to the car but not while we were doing evangelism.

Katie's ladies' meeting went very well last night. There were 8 ladies and 3 girls present. They all enjoyed Katie's study on encouragement. 

Late last night Katie and I took Laura (who attends our church) to the hospital. Her mum was taken there by ambulance. Please pray that God will heal her mum and that the Dr.'s will have wisdom to diagnose the problem.

We got to church last night to find a man already there. He was passing our community center on the bus and saw our church sign. He got off and came to church. He stayed for the Children's Choir practice and the evening service. We had a good service last night as we had communion. We read Scripture passages about the Lord's death and sang hymns. God's Word of itself is powerful and God gave us a good service.

This morning I put out flyers for a few hours. Our weather is unsettled this week and it looked to be the best chance to get out. I had one really good witnessing opportunity with Andrew. Please pray that Andrew will want to know more about being born again and read the literature that I left with him. I met several religious but lost people today.

This evening is the ladies' meeting and lot of preparation is going into that. Our house smells like apple bread. Thanks for your prayers for this ministry.

The Lord gave us encouraging attendance today. Three neighbor kids were present. One of them has become very faithful to every service. We had 19 children present today. :) They all did very well.

I preached this morning on "A Spiritual Smorgasbord" from Matthew 7:1-12. We looked at several topics; the judge and judgment, the clean and the unclean, the prayer and the answer, and the investment and return.

Tomorrow we'd appreciate your prayers for the ladies' meeting. It seems like there will be very good attendance. Thanks for your prayers for our ministry.  

Benson and I had a great divine appointment today as we knocked on doors. We spoke with a woman at her door for 57 minutes. (Benson told me that when we got done.) We were going through a lot of Scripture. God was obviously in that. Please pray that God would meet the needs in this woman's life. We anticipate seeing her again.

Yesterday was a great day off for the boys, myself and Don Dillman. We have an annual outing to the Dunhill Links Golf Championship. It is a Pro Am Tournament at Kingsbarnes, The Old Course - St. Andrews, and Carnoustie. We like to go to Kingsbarnes as it is the most scenic.The boys enjoy getting golf balls, autographs etc from the pros. Some of the highlights from this year.... The caddie for Graeme McDowell gave two of the boys McDowell's used golf gloves. As we were leaving Martin Kaymer turned around and handed each of the boys an autographed ball. (They got a lot of balls from other pro's as well.) It was a spectacular day and we had a lot of fun. I'll put a picture below of Padraig Harrington signing stuff for the boys. Other autographs yesterday...Stewart Cink, Ernie Els, Lee Westwood...to name a few. :) (Just for all you golfers out there.)  

We had a great divine appointment yesterday as well with a young man and woman who were working the tournament. Please pray for Carl to have his heart opened to God's truth.

Don and I had another great weather day to get out and do flyers. We are putting flyers through a village a couple miles from our church meeting place. We had two decent opportunities to witness.

Afterward the Dillman's helped me collect my car from the mechanic. And (drum roll) it appears to be fixed. It had some bad injectors for the lpg system. Thanks for praying with us on this.

I walked for several hours this morning putting out flyers. I was doing an area that has more distance between properties. Yesterday we studied the story of the woman at the well. Having that in my mine, was good motivation for "I must needs go through" type of evangelism. So, I walked up some driveways that were hundreds of meter's long. One such driveway led me to a great chat with a woman who is born again. Please pray that God will bless her and her family. Thanks for praying for divine appointments.

Autumn is a lovely time of year in Scotland. It seems we get a lot more sunshine this time of year. We are enjoying a gorgeous sunny day today. 

Mac is doing a bit better in church and life. :) Thanks for praying. We'd appreciate your continued prayers for him but I wanted to give you that update.

We had a good morning. I preached this morning on "Can't Keep It or Can't Lose It" from Matthew 6:19-34. I am finding the Sermon on the Mount to be of great personal benefit as I'm preparing and preaching through it.

Yesterday Parker was my soul winning partner. God gave us one good conversation. It's not an easy day to do soul winning. Not only are people steeped in unbelief, they are steeped in disinterest. They don't every think about eternity or contemplate the fact that they "could" be wrong. Please pray for God to awaken hearts.

Thanks for praying for us. God gave us an encouraging morning.

I had a good follow up witnessing opportunity this morning with a friend of mine. Please pray that God will do a good work in his heart.

Afterwards, I dropped the car off on the other side of Edinburgh and handed out flyers near Princess St. God gave me several great opportunities to share Christ. 

H..... is 23 and hoping not to go to jail. She has been there before but is seeking to change her ways. I spoke with her and an older man who has had a rough life. It was a good chat.

D..... is probably late 20. He would be agnostic. I had a good opportunity to speak to him about creation and left his with a copy of John and Romans. He was very engaged in our conversation.

I was also looking for a violin for my daughter and stopped into a music shop. The Lord gave me a good witnessing opportunity with the man who works there as no one else was in the shop. I'm pretty certain that I have witnessed to him in the past. He says that he is an atheist. But, when questioned about it, he admitted that it is just because he doesn't know anything that would convince him that there is a God. I enjoyed talking with him and hope something that was said will bring conviction to his heart.

Thank you for praying for open doors for the Gospel.

Missionary Don Dillman and I got together today in his area. The Lord gave a lovely morning to get out. We put out flyers and then did door to door. The Lord gave us a few good opportunities to speak with people about the Lord. Thanks for praying for open doors for witnessing. God's hand was evident in the opportunities that He gave. Please pray that God would bless His Word and build the church in Clermiston, Edinburgh.
