Don and I did flyers on his side of Edinburgh today. God gave us a great divine appointment with a woman who said, "I've just recently started looking for a church." Please pray for this lady. She taught at a local high school for 35 years and has just retired. She now has time to go to church. 

Please also pray for the Dillmans as thy move home. For the last year they have been doing furlough replacement. They have now bought a home and are going to soon be planting a church.  Thanks for your prayers!

Wow, we have had a busy but good weekend. It began on Friday with a great youth activity. We had 14 teens attend including 8 first timers. Please pray for God to break through to these young people. We were very thankful for each one who came.

Two of those teens (not included in the 8 first time visitors) were Missionary Kids. We enjoyed having the Tom Britten family at our church this weekend. God gave us a great Lord's day. Our attendance was very strong for all three services. Thank you for praying for that day.

Today I went into Edinburgh to do some evangelism. I was there for 2 hours and spoke to three different young men each for about half an hour. Please pray for Fabio, Greg and Mike. It was obvious to me that the Lord was working each one of their hearts.

Now, we are getting ready to have Dr. and Mrs. Steadman join us this coming weekend as our emphasis on missions continues next Sunday. Ruth is also going to do our ladies' meeting on the 5th. We'd appreciate your prayers for these special opportunities for the Lord to work.

Nelson and I got on a bus today and went into Edinburgh to pass out flyers. I had told him a long time ago that we would be doing this. He was excited to go. He was bold to ask people if he could give them a flyer and he got a lot of "Why thank you....thanks darling....of course I wills." Most people were very kind. We gave out a lot of flyers and enjoyed eating at McDonalds before heading back.

Please pray for those who took the flyer. We had one conversation with a vendor. He is a humanist. Much of Scotland is turning to a nearly organized "religion" of humanism. A friend of ours recently informed us that there were more humanist weddings in Scotland this past year than weddings performed by the Church of Scotland. Please pray for this country to wake up to the truth about God.

Yesterday, I prepared a new flyer. I'm very thankful for God's help with these. He gave me a good program to use, encouraged me to use it, and has directed me to a great printing company. Please pray for God's power upon this new flyer. (The copies of the flyer below are not good quality - but hopefully they are clear enough for you to read the text. I focused on Jesus with this flyer.)

The Lord gave us a wonderful time away as a family. We camped in the Etrick Valley in the Scottish Borders. We saw some amazing sights and had amazing weather. (You don't get sunburned in Scotland that often!) God's was very good to us.

It was a joy to be back with our church this morning. I preached this morning a topical message on spiritual power, "His Power In Us." It was a good refresher for me as I preached something that I have preached before.

We have some special events this week. On Friday we have our first church youth activity. We are going to start having youth activities the 4th Friday of every month. We also have missionaries with us this next Sunday, The Brittan family to England. We'd appreciate your prayers for these upcoming events.

The Lord has encouraged us with some coming from our Holiday Bible Club. This past Thursday night we had an adult and two children with us whom we did not know before HBC. We also had 3 regular children back with us because of HBC. So, praise the Lord for fruit. This morning we had one adult and one child with us from HBC. Please pray especially for these two as they are now coming regularly to church.

I preached this morning on, "In His Name." As you read the book of Acts notice how many times it says, "In His Name" or something like that. That truth stood out to me in my Bible reading this past week.

This afternoon is the Trust service. I'm going to share the Romans Road. Tonight we have our Bible study and communion service. Afterwards our family is going to disappear into the Scottish countryside for a week as we enjoy camping.

Thank you for praying for our ministry. We need God's help in our ministry and thank Him for how He is answering your prayers.

The county newspaper has recently started inviting ministers to contribute to a column. I was very happy to participate and had an article recently printed entitled, "Do Good People Go To Heaven?"  If you would like to read it please click on the article title and it will take you there.

We are catching up with life after a busy week and need to catch you up. We enjoyed having Pastor McPhillips preach all three services on Sunday. All of his messages were a blessing. He preached Sunday morning on Psalm 16.

Monday morning at 6:30 the team departed for Ireland. Today they are returning to the USA. Hopefully at some point they can all catch up on their sleep!

This morning I handed out flyers in Edinburgh. We are in the heart of the festival season in Edinburgh and there are incredible numbers of people on the street. I handed out about a 100 flyers in an hour. I had one good opportunity to witness to a young man who was promoting another cause. He tried to engage me in his topic and I sought to engage him in mine. It was a good conversation which I trust will have an eternal benefit in his life.

Our total attendance for the week was 35 children and 5 adults. So, we hit our 40 goal! My wife and I got a shaving cream pie in the face (from each other) and Pastor McPhillips and Jim also went down! Thank you for praying.

Some of the mothers and kids have indicated that they will be there on Sunday or in the near future. Please pray that they will follow through with that desire.

Yesterday after taking down all the stuff, we took the team up to the Highlands. We had a wonderful time and got back last night about 11:00.

Grace Baptist and our church people did a wonderful job serving the kid's at HBC. We had good prayer time, good weather, good attendance, good spirit.... Praise the Lord. Thank you for praying. Below are some pics!

The Lord blessed our day today with 27 kids this morning, 33 total thus far for the week. Tonight we had a great turn out for our meeting including 4 visiting children and two mums. It was a great day! Thank you for praying.

Praise the Lord, Kay Lee and Rusty got a pie in the face today because we went over 25 registered to 29 registered for the week. We had 23 in attendance and had a great day. We have had good weather each day for game time for which we have been thankful. The lessons went well today and the children seemed very alert to the truth being presented. 

Tonight at 7 a few of us climbed a hill near our home. I'll put a pic below.
